Privacy Policy

Uploaded artwork and theme content are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to CodexTheme. Standard hosting and Google Fonts requests may still generate limited technical logs. This policy explains those practices and the choices available to you.

1. Information processed in your browser

When you upload artwork, customize colors, preview a theme, or save a theme to your library, that content is processed locally by your web browser and is not uploaded to CodexTheme.

  • Uploaded artwork is read locally using browser file APIs.
  • Current settings and saved themes may be stored in your browser’s local storage.
  • Site files may be stored in a browser cache so the Studio can continue working offline.
  • Generated Codex App values and Codex CLI theme files are created on your device.
Clearing site data in your browser will remove locally saved CodexTheme settings, saved themes, and offline files from that browser.

2. Information we do not ask you to provide

The current version of CodexTheme does not require an account, payment details, or a profile. We do not intentionally collect the artwork, theme names, color choices, prompts, or files you create in the Studio.

3. Hosting and technical logs

Like most websites, the hosting and network providers used to deliver CodexTheme may process limited technical information needed to serve and protect the site. This can include your IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages, timestamps, and security or error logs. Their handling of this data is governed by their own privacy terms.

4. Third-party services

CodexTheme currently loads web fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those font files, Google may receive standard connection information such as your IP address and browser details. Links or files you choose to share outside CodexTheme are governed by the privacy practices of the destination service.

5. Cookies and browser storage

CodexTheme does not currently use advertising cookies or account cookies. It uses browser storage and caching to remember your theme work and enable offline use. You can remove this data through your browser’s privacy or site-data settings.

6. Data retention and control

Locally stored theme data remains on your device until you overwrite it, delete saved themes, reset the Studio, or clear the site’s browser data. CodexTheme cannot restore local data after it has been removed.

7. Children’s privacy

CodexTheme is a developer and design utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the product, hosting setup, or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are published.
